Cebu Resort Named Global Winner in World Luxury Hotel Award

Over 1,000 hotels from 145 countries were nominated to participate in the world’s most prestigious Awards initiative for luxury hotels in 2014 with the gala night and awarding ceremony held at the South African Shores.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards established in 2006 recognizes the worldwide luxury hotel industry and legendary hotels with respect to overall service excellence. It is positioned as the pinnacle of achievement for luxury hotels worldwide. The Awards account for over 50 categories in the luxury hotel industry and include amongst others Luxury Private Island Resorts, Casino Hotels, City Hotels, and Lodges. Award winners raised the bar of service delivery within the industry ever since as some of the world’s top hotels including brands such as Swissôtel, InterContinental, Hilton, Sofitel, Kempinski, & Anantara compete annually to receive top honours. Atlantis the Palm, United Arab Emirates was announced the 2014 World Luxury Hotel Awards Global Hotel Of the Year winner.

Representing the Philippines is Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, the flagship property of Crimson Hotels & Resorts, managed by FilArchipelago Hospitality Inc. The resort received the Global recognition for the category of Luxury Thalasso & Spa Resort. The resort is one of only 2 winners from the Philippines of the year 2014 WLHA.

This is the 2nd award of Crimson from the prestigious giving body. In 2013 it was named Country winner for the Luxury Beach Resort category. Opened in 2010 the villa-focused resort that’s a few month’s shy of celebrating its 5th year in operation has continuously set the benchmark for exclusivity, engagement and premium leisure experience in the region.
