Cebu Port Body to Build P350-M Terminal 3
A P350-million Terminal 3 which will be for the exclusive use of fast crafts will be built in Cebu City’s Pier 4, an official said.
Cebu Port Authority (CPA) General Manager Edmund Tan said this will be their next project after completing Terminal 1 at Pier 1 and Terminal 2 at Pier 3.
Both Terminals 1 and 2 cost PHP50 million each to build, Tan said.
Tan said both terminals are also fully air-conditioned with gender-sensitive facilities like the diaper-changing stations, a breast-feeding room, meditation room and first aid clinic with a standby nurse.
The terminals are also equipped with free WiFi for the passengers.
Terminal 2, which was inaugurated Friday, can accommodate close to a thousand people, who may look at the digital screens to check the schedules and status of the trips.
Tan said vessels bound for Ormoc, Leyte and Bohol and the ferry boat to Lapu-Lapu City berth in Pier 3.
Some fast crafts, specifically those bound for Bohol, berth at Pier 1.
These fast crafts will be moved to Pier 4 when Terminal 3 is completed, Tan said. (PNA) LAP/EB/EBP
