Cebu Pacific Cancels 116 Domestic Flights for May 1-10
Local carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has announced the cancellation of 116 domestic flights scheduled for May 1-10.
In an advisory, CEB said the cancellation is due to the carrier’s need to reduce the number of flights given its current operating conditions, particularly in its Manila hub.
Reducing the flights would create space for operational recovery, minimize delays and give passengers the chance to make alternate travel plans, the advisory read.
“We are doing this because we have seen an unprecedented level of disruption to our operations, and our passengers are experiencing extended delays and some on-the-spot cancellations,” CEB said.
The cancelled flights are:

The Philippine News Agency (PNA) reached out to CEB for comments, but no response was given as of writing.
Last April 24, CEB cancelled 24 domestic flights, apparently due to “operational limitations”.
The “unprecedented disruption to operation” was also cited when CEB announced cancellation of at least 48 flights scheduled for April 28-30.
Meanwhile, according to CEB, affected passengers from April 28 to May 10 will receive one round-trip travel voucher which they can use for future flight.
Affected passengers may opt to rebook or reroute their flights, get a full refund, or place the full cost of ticket in a travel fund.
CEB said it will continue to exhaust all means to inform passengers about the latest advisory. (PNA)
