Cebu Pacific Adds New flights to Doha, Qatar
Manila (PNA) — As summer approaches, twice weekly direct flights between Manila and Doha, Qatar are coming to low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific, the airline announced Friday.
Cebu Pacific said that beginning June 4, the non-stop service will depart Manila every Monday and Thursday, at 9:35pm and will arrive in Doha at 2:45am the next day.
Meanwhile, the return flight will depart Doha every Tuesday and Friday, at 4:15am and arrive in Manila at 6:35pm.
This new route will utilize the airline’s brand-new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with a configuration of 436 all-economy class seats.
Its introductory Manila-Doha fares start at Php 888, for sale until March 22 or until seats last. The seat sale fare, which is the cost of approximately five movie tickets, may be used for travel from June 4 to December 31 this year.
After the seat sale, the airline’s lowest year-round fares between Manila and Doha start at Php 9,488, which is approximately 60 percent lower than other airlines.
Cebu General General Manager for Long-Haul Division Alex Reyes in a statement expressed excitement upon the airline’s newest offer.
“With our expanding network, Qatar becomes more accessible from the Philippines, and the Filipino community can reunite with their families more often,” Reyes said.
“It is Cebu Pacific’s priority to maintain a strong presence in the region, where we are able to reach a large population of Filipino communities,” he added.
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) 2009 stock estimates show that the route will serve over 260,000 Filipinos in Qatar, which has the third-largest Filipino community in the Middle East.
The airline already serves the other two key markets for Global Filipinos: United Arab Emirates via direct flights to Dubai, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via Riyadh.
Cebu Pacific is the only airline flying direct between Manila and Kuwait.
It will soon be the only Philippine carrier flying between Manila and Doha, Qatar, serving more Global Filipinos in the Middle East. (PNA) FPV/ANP
