Cebu Pacific Adds 41% More Seats for Taipei this Summer
The Philippines’ second flag carrier, Cebu Pacific Air, has added 41 percent more seats for Taipei flights as it upgrades into a 436-seater Airbus A330 aircraft from May 2 to June 3.
The move by the leading low-cost carrier plans to accommodate the expected increase of travel demand during the summer peak period.
Aside from offering more seats, Cebu Pacific has also added flights between Manila, Hanoi and Hong Kong.
“By upgrading some of our Taipei flights to a bigger aircraft, we are able to offer 41% more seats, making more low fares to and from Taipei available for every Juan,” said Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Four extra weekly flights between Manila and Hong Kong will be offered from April 11 to May 2 increasing the number of flights from 28 times weekly to 32 weekly flights during the said period.
Cebu Pacific also offers direct flights from Cebu, Clark and Iloilo to Hong Kong.
Being the only carrier operating direct flights between Manila and Hanoi, Cebu Pacific has also increased flights to this route which will deliver thrice weekly Manila-Hanoi flights starting April 3. Cebu Pacific will fly to this route every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Cebu Pacific is expected to acquire 12 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo and 3 Airbus A330 aircraft from 2014 to 2021.
“The delivery of more aircraft will allow us to add more destinations, routes and flights to an already extensive network to key cities in Asia and the Middle East. We encourage every Juan to take advantage of these additional flights and CEB’s trademark lowest fares, for their leisure and business travel needs,” Iyog added.
Cebu Pacific has been considered as one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. As of this time, the airline comprises of 10 Airbus A319, 30 Airbus A320, 3 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. (PNA) LAM/JDM
