Cebu City Urged to Still Follow Health Protocols
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) reminds the public to still follow health safety protocols despite the city being placed under Alert Level 2.
Cebu City was placed under Alert Level 2 from February 16 to February 28 after the COVID-19 cases in the city dwindled. As of February 20, Cebu City’s positivity rate went down 3.64% from over 4% last January.
Despite the more relaxed Alert Level 2, CCPO urges establishments and Cebuanos to still follow health protocols. The police also said that they will continue to apprehend violators.
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama also urged Cebuanos to continue to be vigilant against COVID-19 by following the health safety protocols.
As of February 21, the city’s active cases of COVID-19 is 1,178 — a much lower number of active cases compared to 7,269 active cases last February 1. (ASC)
