Cebu City Police To Make Police Clearance Available Online Soon
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will soon make the issuance of a police clearance available online.
Senior Supt. Benjamin Santos Jr., CCPO director, said they have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and its sister company, Data Center Inc. (DCI), for this purpose.
Anyone who would like to apply for a police clearance can go to the website cebucity.policeclearance.ph and fill out the application form provided online.
The applicant will get a reference number for the payment, which can be done through a debit card or cash basis through any branch of the DBP.
Nilo S. Cruz, president of DBP and chief executive officer of DCI, said they still need to promote the website and the online police clearance service.
Cruz has assured the public that their website is secure from hackers, amidst the hacking of the website of the Commission on Elections.
Cruz said the online service would also be affordable enough and convenient to the public.
But Cruz said that the public can still personally apply for a police clearance if they want to, as the requirements remain the same. (PNA) SCS/EB/PJN
