Cebu City, Mandaue City Elevated to Alert Level 3 Status
Amid the sudden rise of COVID-19 cases in the country, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has elevated the status of a number of provinces and cities to Alert Level 3 status for January 14 to 31, including Cebu City and Mandaue City.
Along with the cities of Cebu and Mandaue are 26 more cities and provinces that will be elevated to Alert Level 3 starting tomorrow, Malacañang Announced Wednesday.
Here are the list of areas under Alert Level 3 Status:
Luzon
Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) – Benguet, Kalinga and Abra
Region 1 (Ilocos) – La Union, Ilocos Norte and Pangasinan
Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) – Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela and Quirino
Region 3 (Central Luzon) – Nueva Ecija and Tarlac
Region 4-A (Calabarzon) – Quezon Province
Region 4-B (Mimaropa) – Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro
Region 5 (Bicol) – Camarines Sur and Albay
Visayas
Region 6 (Western Visayas) – Bacolod City, Aklan, Capiz and Antique
Region 7 (Central Visayas) – Cebu City and Mandaue City
Region 8 (Eastern Visayas) – Tacloban City
Mindanao
Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) – Cagayan de Oro City
Region 11 (Davao) – Davao City
Caraga – Butuan City and Agusan del Sur
Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) – Cotabato City
Provinces and cities not included in the list will remain under their current Alert Level status.
The new adjustments come as the country has experienced a huge spike in COVID-19 cases since the new year started–with 32,246 new COVID-19 cases recorded Wednesday, bringing the total COVID-19 numbers in the country to a whopping 3,058,634. (GFB)
