Cebu City Gov’t: Vax First Before Dropping Face Shield Policy
The Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama stressed that residents should vaccinate themselves first before the Cebu City government drops the face shield requirement.
Although Rama expressed his support for removing the face shield policy, he urges the residents of Cebu City to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19, especially those who push to remove the face shield as a requirement for entry to malls other establishments.
Rama added that even though the COVID-19 cases in Cebu City have lessened, people should not be complacent, instead the people should cooperate with the city and the police to help sustain this development in the fight against COVID-19.
The residents of Cebu City are urged to take their COVID-19 vaccine shot for the city to achieve herd immunity before this year ends.
Last November 5, Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia signed an executive order that only limits the use of face shields in areas that are 3C’s: crowded, closed, and close contact. (ASC)
