Cebu City Braces for Typhoon Odette
The Cebu City Risk Reduction and Management Council (CCDRRMC) is preparing for the incoming typhoon that may hit the city this week.
The CCDRRMC said they are preparing the equipment needed in case of emergencies during the storm.
The department also said that they will install an Incident Command Post (ICP) at the Vice Mayor’s Conference Hall and Staging Area at the Ayala Heights.
Evacuation sites for residents are also being determined.
A force evacuation could also be initiated in areas that are at risk of landslides and flooding are also told to evacuate when told.
CCDRRMC are declogging drainages in some areas in the city today.
The roll-out for the Unified Radio Communication Program begins today. The Barangay Team Leaders will also meet today for the SOP and orientation.
The lower pressure area (LPA) is said to strengthen into a typhoon that will be named “Odette” if it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). (ASC)
