Cebu City Airsoft Competition Back After 6 Years Hiatus
The Cebu City Government through the Cebu City Sports Commission and the Sports Tourism Program headed by the office of Hon. Jerry L. Guardo, in partnership with the Southern Cebu Airsoft Recon (SCAR) and the Guadalupe Airsoft Team (GAP) is set to stage the Cebu City Airsoft Competition.
After six years, the competition is now back on its course billed as “Operation: Fall Out” to be held on April 7 and 8 at the Sugbo grounds of the South Road Properties (SRP).
Huge prizes are at stake for this two-day shoot fest competition which include P30 000 as grand prize. Second prize winner will get P20 000, third prize winner will get P10 000, and the fourth prize winner will get P5 000 each.
Committee on Youth & Sports Dev’t. Chair Jerry L. Guardo, during the presscon, said that the prizes were increased to encourage sports tourism as well as attract enthusiasts outside Cebu City.
He also added that airsoft is a friendly game and is not just about competition. It’s about team building, skills, and it also builds camaraderie. Fourteen teams are going to compete in this 21-man team competition.
Eleven teams from Cebu and 3 other teams from Iloilo, Dumaguete, and San Carlos are set to participate in this event. (Cebu City PIO – Chrysly Rose Jumao-as /CNU Communication Intern)
