CCCI’s Candidates for 2019 BOT Election

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) thru its Commission on Elections (COMELEC) recently named the Official Candidates qualified to run for this year’s Election of Board of Trustees.

Four (4) candidates are contending to represent three (3) seats in the Industry Sector namely: 1) Engr. Ramir Bonghanoy, President of Bon- Ace Fashion Tools, Inc.; 2) Engr. Leonora Salvane, President of GT Cosmetics Manufacturing, Inc.; 3) Felix  “Boy” Tiukinhoy, Jr.  President of Virginia Food, Inc.; and 4) Jay Yuvallos, President of Interior Basic Export Corporation.

For the Trade Sector, five (5) official candidates for the three (3) seats are: 1) Katherine Cheng, President of Baker Bob & Kates Bakery Products; 2) Francis Dy, President of Greenworld LED Solutions; 3) Mario Panganiban, General Manager of Cebu Advent Development Corporation; 4) Karl Antonious de Pio, Managing Director of Karllee Trading; and 5) Melita Ramos, Vice President of Cebu Supergro Products Corporation.

The Service Sector has five (7) candidates for three (3) seats, they are: 1) Lilo “Lilu” Alino, Managing Director of Lilu Advertising & Marketing Solutions; 2) Archt. Jose Mari Canizares, Senior Architect of Canizares, The Architect; 3) Fleire Mae Castro, Founder of Third Team Media; 4) Maximo “Rey” Eleccion, Area Business Director of Bank of the Philippine Islands; 5) Segismundo “Jun” Exaltacion, Jr., President of Tsuneishi Technical Services, Inc.; 6) Benedict “Benny” Que, President of Golden Prince Hotel & Suites; and 7) Teresa “Tere”  Pono, Resident Manager of AFOS BKU.

While three (3) candidates are running for one (1) Sectoral/ Association sector seat, namely: 1) Dr. Gregg Victor Gabison, President of Cebu IT BPM Organization (CIB.O); 2) Alice Queblatin, President of Cebu Alliance of Tour Operations Specialists (CATOS); and 3) Nimrod Quinones, President of Philippine Society for Industrial Security (PSIS).

CCCI 2019 Elections for Board of Trustees is set on February 22 with ten (10) vacant seats to be filled in. All chamber members are enjoined to exercise their right to vote and attend the General Membership Meeting (GMM) & Election.  All filled out ballots should be submitted to the COMELEC secretariat on or before February 22, Friday.
