Catholic Nurses to Hold Its 8th Convention
The Catholic Nurses Guild in the Philippines (CNGP) Cebu Chapter will hold its 8th Local Annual Convention on 20 September 2019 at the Tandang Sora Hall, Cebu Normal University, Cebu City. Fr. Dan Domingo delos Angeles of the Archdiocese of Cebu will be the keynote speaker and will elaborate on the theme “Nurses in Today’s Environment: Affirming Commitment.
Bro. Noel Tecson, SVD, the overall Chair of the convention shared that the event will cover lectures on “Issues confronting the nurses in the workplace” by Vice President Dr. Daisy Palompon of Cebu Normal University; “Commitment: the challenges to nurses” by Former PRC Chair Delia Mediano and ”Strategies to strengthen commitment by Nursing Director Dr. Helen Estrella of the University of Cebu Medical Center. Workshops and sharing of caring experiences will also highlight the confab. A mass to be officiated by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Trazo will open the day-long activity.
CNGP, a member International Committee of Catholic Nurses and Medico-Social Assistant is an association of catholic nurses with the objectives of: promoting the professional, spiritual, personal and moral welfare of nurses in the country; cultivate professional nursing practice that is compassionate, competent and ethical; foster fellowship and cooperation among its members; and promote social action and lay apostolate.
CNGP is inviting all nurses to attend this convention. Continuing Professional Development units is being applied for in this whole day affair. The program will start at 8am and will end at 4pm.
