Capitol to Check Workers’ Performance
●”We want a workforce here nga kana g’yung manarbaho, so they can contribute to the administration,” Davide says.
After June 30, casual employees of the Cebu Provincial Capitol will undergo evaluation to determine whether or not their contract deserves renewal.
Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III has ordered that each of the Capitol’s casual employees be evaluated for their performance, if they are “competent” enough to merit another six-month contract with the province.
“One of the changes we’ve introduced here sa Capitol. I-match ilang position they are holding, competent ba byud sila, knowledgeable,” said Davide.
“We want a workforce here nga kana g’yung manarbaho, so they can contribute to the administration,” he added.
Davide said more than 600 casual workers may decrease depending on the results of the on-going evaluation. He said this could be possible considering that there are positions that are being held by two persons, or workers who have no actual work.
“Mag-agad ta sa recommendatioon sa evaluators. Duna may position nga nag-doble-doble. Naa puy mga empleyado nga way gibuhat (which could be among the grounds for not renewing their contracts)” he said.
