Capitol Sends Medical Team to Bogo
The Cebu Provincial Government has sent a medical team to augment the Cebu provincial hospital to Bogo City after members of their staff are currently on quarantine after being exposed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients.
A medical augmentation team for the City is immediately ordered by Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) Chief Dr. Christina Giango said.
“The chief of the Bogo hospital informed us today (Monday), and we are already acting on it,” said Dr. Giango in a news release by the Provincial Information Office (PIO) of Cebu.
A Medical Support or Augmentation Team is usually established to augment challenges in staffing and equipment within an established site or facility operation.
Giango also said that the Capitol is still providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to 12 district hospitals in the province.
The Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City caters to patients in the northern part of the province, covered by Cebu’s fourth district.
As of July 12, 2020, the City Government of Bogo recorded zero new cases of COVID-19 although they have 29 active cases, 12 recoveries, and only 1 death. (MLC)
