The Cebu Provincial Capitol extends aid and sympathy to the families of the Boljoon accident.
The accident happened last Friday, July 19 where students are supposed to attend a DepEd-hosted activity.
The mini dump truck the students were riding was allegedly lost control and fell off a cliff claiming 9 young lives.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia personally visited and showed sympathy to the families of the victims.
Garcia along with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and the Local Government of the Municipality of Boljoon distributed cash assistance.
Other victims are still at the hospital suffering from injuries but the Cebu Provincial Capitol pledged to pay all the medical and hospitalization expenses.
Meanwhile, Garcia said that she will meet with the Provincial School Board to discuss safety measures in all schools in the province especially if they have academic or sports activities to attend.
“Dapat gyud ani naay municipal bus unta para sakyan sa mga studyante (Every Municipality should have a bus prepared for students),” Garcia said.
