Capitol HR Hosts Year 2 of HR Convention in Support of Civil Service Month
Now on its second year, the Cebu Capitol’s Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) will be hosting the CPG Human Resource Convention on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Capitol Social Hall, Cebu City.
At least 300 personnel from various offices and hospitals of the Capitol are expected to join the annual convention, which will also be graced by Provincial Government officials, as well as some human resource management practitioners from other government agencies in the province.
With the commemoration of the 118th Philippine Civil Service anniversary, the Civil Service Commission lined up numerous activities and has enjoined other agencies to actively take part in this celebration. This year’s theme is “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan.”
The CPG HR Convention is Capitol’s effort to support the professional learning and development of its officials and employees by bringing in inspiring people managers from different organizations.
With the theme “Nurturing People,” these excellent subject matter experts will be sharing about the nuts and bolts in people management.
Gloria Zosa-Seno, managing director of GZS Management Resources, will talk about “Nurturing the Baby Boomers in the Workplace,” while Marie Sol Delantar-Gonzalvo, Kool Adventure Camp Director of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI), will give tips on “Nurturing the GenX in the Workplace.”
On the topic “Nurturing a Culture of Collaboration and Performance,” Miren Amale M. Jopson, vice president for Human Resources of AboitizLand Inc., will share the best practices on the subject, while Atty. Elson C. Englis, HR manager of the Metropolitan Cebu Water District, will give his insights in “Nurturing the Millennials in the Workplace.”
Ms. Arlyn R. Abellana, HR maanager of Resourcing, Engagement & Communications of Rose Pharmacy Inc., will tackle “Nurturing Creativity in the Workplace.”
The series of discussions will be capped by Dr. Roselle Jardin-Ranario, faculty of the Department of Public Governance of Cebu Normal University, who will share her insights on “Nurturing Citizenship in the Workplace.”
This activity is one of the many “firsts” under the Davide administration in line with its aspiration of providing Kalambuan sa Matag Sugbuanon (progress for every Cebuano). (CEBU PROVINCIAL GOV’T)
