Capitol Extends Help To Murdered Teen’s Family
The bereaved family of the teenaged girl murdered in Argao town extended their gratitude to Governor Hilario P. Davide III and the Provincial Capitol for all the assistance given to them.
Vice Governor Agnes A. Magpale directed the Provincial Womens Commission(PWC) to provide legal assistance for the quick resolution of the case. She assured PWC is ready to assist the victims family in whatever they need.
Upon knowing of the incident last Monday, Davide immediately instructed the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office to make arrangements for the funeral expenses of the victim.
Apart from burial assistance, relief assistance in the form of food supplies will be given to the family as well.
Conrado Higida, father of 15-year old Jezreel, also received cash assistance from Davide and family.
“Dako kaayo akong pasalamat sa dakong tabang ni Gov diri namo. Sa nahitabo sa akong anak, gitabangan gyud mi niya (I am very grateful to the Governor for all the help hes given to us),” he expressed.
Higida, with lawyer Jonathan Villegas and some officers from Argao police station, visited the Governor right after cases were filed against the three suspects before the Provincial Prosecutors Office.
“Our deepest condolences to you sir, Im very sorry for what happened,” expressed Davide to Higida.
Jezreels body will be buried on Saturday in a public cemetery in Argao, said Higida.
Immediate apprehension
Davide also commended Argao police officers for the immediate apprehension of the suspects.
“Good job! Thank you for your immediate action,” expressed Davide.
“Importante karon ma-kumbikto gyud na sila (Its important now that the suspects get convicted),” he added.
SPO2 Meliton Agadier of Argao police station narrated they received a report Monday noon via radio communication about a girl found dead in Sitio Tiposo, Barangay Bulasa.
A team was immediately sent out to secure the crime scene and conduct preliminary investigations.
Suspects Raymond Albuera, 22; Elmo Relatibo 24; and Rowin Saraosas, 41 were apprehended five hours after the body was discovered. They were detained in the municipal jail thereafter.
Justice Walk
Jezreel’s family, together with members of the Association of Learning Institutions in Argao (ALIA), will hold an event called “Walk for Justice, Walk for Jezreel” in Argao on Saturday, March 12.
Mayor Edsel Galeos and other town officials, heads of schools and students will join the event which will start in the municipal plaza and will end in the sports complex.
ALIA is the association of both public and private schools in Argao.
