Capitol Donates Lahug Lot to CPPO
The Cebu Provincial Government on Tuesday officially donated the 5,000-square-meter lot in barangay Lahug, Cebu City to the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
Governor Hilario Davide III and PNP Chief Alan Purisima signed the deed of donation at the Capitol Social Hall to formalize the donation.
Purisima thanked the province, saying it has “always been a dream” for every police station to have its own permanent home, and with this one granted this is expected to level up the “morals” of every police station “at its highest” subsequently resulting to a better performance in the fight against criminality.
“I can assure you we can continuously and tirelessly purse our fight against the criminality in Central Visayas,” said Purisima.
At least 13 local government units have also given their support to the PNP by donating parcels of lots in their respective localities. The town councils of Argao, Moalboal, Samboan, Sante Fe, Madridejos, Tuburan, Tabuelan, San Fernando, Cordova, Minglanilla, Sibonga, Aloguinsan and Dalaguete were said to have passed a resolution each authorizing their respective local governments to donate a portion of their lots to the PNP where a permanent police station can be erected.
Meanwhile, Purisima has remained mum on the issues against him, saying he has already opened his controversial house and lot in Nueva Ecija to the media, which means he has nothing to hide.
