Camera360 Launches New App for Windows Phone Users
A Seamless Digital Extension of Your Eyes
Chengdu, China — Camera360, a global pioneer in mobile photography, has announced the launch of Sight, a brand new camera app for the Windows Phone platform. As of December 2014, Camera360 now has more than 350 million users across Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms. With Sight, Camera360 aims to create a new mobile photography experience to bring an enhanced and more compelling visual experience for Windows Phone users.
The new Sight app fully utilizes Windows Phone camera hardware to capture personal moments, while simultaneously providing users with an intuitive photo browsing and editing experience. Packed with over 80 professional and unique features including an auto/manual focus system, gesture activated assistance tool bar and customized real-time filters, Sight provides creative and easy-to-use camera functions. Additionally, Sight’s album feature comes with powerful editing and previewing tools to offer superior artistic control over your personal moments.
In developing Sight, Camera360 went back to the drawing board to understand more about what users care about and how to convert user desires into reality on the WP platform. “Sight was redesigned from the inside out so that it could achieve the most intuitive user experience while also maximizing hardware optimization for the majority of Windows Phone models. We hope that Sight can become a seamless digital extension of your vision and help you to better process and capture your personal experiences and life moments,” said Xu Hao, CEO of Camera360.
Since Camera360’s launch on the Android platform in 2010, Camera360 continues to expand its enhanced mobile photography experience to more platforms and devices. “It is really exciting for us to be able to bring a completely new product to the Windows Phone. Previously, we had a strategic partnership with Nokia for pre-installs to bring out the full potential of the Lumia Camera. Now, together with Microsoft, we believe that Sight will create new opportunities for Camera360 as more users adopt Windows Phone,” Xu added.
Sight is also integrated with Cortana, Microsoft’s voice command system. A simple “Take a selfie!” will launch the Sight app and auto switch to the front camera. For the next version, Camera360 plans to further integrate and embed Sight into a universal Windows app.
Due to drastic differences in product concepts and design, the previous Camera360 app on the Windows Store will continue to be supported but not updated.
Sight is available as a free download on the Windows Store. (PR Newswire)
