Calamity Loan for El Niño Not Yet Available Cebu

The emergency loan for El Niño is not yet available for Cebu as announced by Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on April 24, 2019.

When Cebu was declared in state of calamity, GSIS members have tried to inquire for the calamity loan, but GSIS in Cebu said that the calamity fund still awaits the approval from the national agency.

GSIS Cebu branch manager Atty. Mercedes Enriquez said that GSIS members don’t have to go their office to avail. She added, that members can inquire from their respective GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System (GWAPS) kiosks in selected government establishments and malls.

GSIS Members can also avail for their calamity fund over the internet through the GSIS Member Online (eGSISMO).

The application for GSIS Emergency loan can be done in the GWAPS kiosks and GSIS office near their town or city.

Atty. Enriquez also said that all GSIS members, except elected officials and coterminous employees can avail for the P40,000 calamity loan.
