The national government’s Build Build Build Program (BBBP) has poured in funds to provide additional classrooms in this town.
Representative Luisa Cuaresma said the construction of two schools buildings at the Solano National High School (SNHS) was funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) under the BBB program.
The newly-constructed two 4-storey school buildings with 16 classrooms and complete with instructional materials is worth P60 million, according to Cuaresma.
“This is your money, not mine. I’m just your facilitator in the House of Congress,” she said in a press statement.
Victor Taleon, SNHS principal expressed elation over the completion of the project.
He said their senior high school students have been divided in two shifts – class from 6 A.M.-2 P.M. and 11 A.M. – 6 P.M..
Taleon said they have been longing for additional school buildings to address the increasing number of enrollees.
“Now, our students can enjoy their comfort and regular schedule effective next semester. We owe this much to our national government,” he added. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
