Bring Broken Pressed Powders Back to Life

Published

on

It’s heartbreaking when you accidentally drop your brand new compact and you pray that it didn’t shatter to pieces but sadly, it did. Before throwing it away just yet, there’s a way from putting humpty dumpty together again!

You’ll need:

70% rubbing alcohol (this evaporates faster and much more sanitary)

A clean spoon

A clean plate or empty container

Tissue paper

Q-tips/Cotton buds

Steps:

1. Place every bit and piece of the broken pressed powder on the clean plate.

2. With your spoon, crush everything. Turn the pressed powder back into loose powder.

3. Place the loose powder on the pan with your spoon. Be sure to take your time.

4. Gradually place drops of rubbing alcohol onto the powder and mix. Use the amount enough to turn the powder into a sponge-like and pliable texture.

5. Smoothen the surface with your spoon or you can even press your tissue paper onto the surface to even it out.

6. Clean the edges with some tissue paper and use Q-tips to clean hard-to-reach areas.
