Break Down that Wall That Stands in your Way
I believe that if you truly want something, then everything that stands in your way is a mere wall that is waiting to be tumbled and shattered to pieces.
Sounds easy.
But then, we all know that nothing in this world ever comes easy. If everything were that easy, then life would not be ‘life’ anymore.
This is the beauty of ‘life’—the problems you’re facing right now.
Find beauty on how life keeps on putting you down, because it’s in these moments that we are forged to be real tough and good.
I always try to find the beauty in every bad situation that I’m currently experiencing or have experienced at some point, because I get to learn something. I get to experience so much pain and agony, and there’s beauty in it.
Find beauty in whatever you’re facing right now. Face the wall and take a good look at it. Appreciate it, because not everyone gets to experience the pain you’re in now. Say thank you to it for the things it has taught you. Now focus on it, then run as fast as you can and with what you have, and shatter it with all your might and say “Thank you, now on to the next wall”.
Sometimes, you need two or more attempts at breaking down the wall before it gives in and tumbles. It is in these moments that we get tired and fall down to our knees, but the only way to go when we fall down, is up. So stand again to break the wall once and for all.
You are not weak. You are just tired. Maybe you tried to break the wall too many times already, but it still has not tumbled. You are just tired. Do not give up. So stand up once again because nobody will break the wall for you.
Only you can do it.
People who matter in your respective lives can only supply you with enough sledgehammers through advices and by being beside you all the way, but only you can break the wall.
The people that love you would love to break down that wall for you, but in reality, they can only look from the sidelines and coach you.
This problem, this wall; it will be shattered, tumbled, and be broken sooner or later. If you’re tired, then rest. Even the best soldiers need to rest, because tomorrow, they need to fight again.
There is nothing wrong in breaking down. We all break down at some point. What’s wrong is when you forget your mission due to that break down.
So cry if need be. Cry until no tears come out of your eyes anymore, but after you cry,
Stand up. Only you can break down that wall that stands in your way. (Gabriel Raphael Constantine F. Bumanglag)
