Boston Marathon Suspect Seriously injured, in no Condition to be Questioned

The 19-year-old Boston Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still in serious condition at the Boston Hospital where he was confined after Thursday’s police manhunt.

A federal law enforcement source said authorities are looking into the possibility of a self-inflicted neck wound that may be a suicide attempt before capture.

Commissioner Ed Davis told Fox News that Tsarnaev is still in no condition to be questioned by the authorities but his condition is improving and they are closely monitoring his recovery.

Tsarnaev is confined under heavy security at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where several other victims of the Boston Marathon bombing are undergoing treatment.

Officials are hoping to get information on the attacks during the Boston Marathon, which claimed three lives and injured hundreds. They also want to determine whether Tsarnaev and his older brother Tamerlan, who was killed in the police shootout, received any outside help.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said the law enforcement officials are hoping the suspect survives for there are “a lot of questions that need to be answered”.

Authorities claim an elite interrogation team from the FBI would be sent to question Tsarnaev without reading him his Miranda rights, an exemption applicable to cases concerning “public safety”.
