Booster Shots for Adults to Start on December 3
Fully-vaccinated adults (aged 18 and above) may be able to receive their COVID-19 vaccine booster shots starting on December 3, 2021.
The Department of Health (DOH) announced on their Facebook page that individuals who received the full dosage or two doses of their COVID-19 vaccine can receive their booster shot.
“Those who have completed their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines can be inoculated with the following brands regardless of which vaccines taken in the first two doses,” DOH said.
Individuals who received the Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Gamaleya Sputnik will wait for the 6-month interval before receiving their booster shot.
Meanwhile, persons who received the Janssen brand will only have a 3-month interval.
DOH added that the National Vaccination Operations Center is yet to issue operational guidelines on its implementation. (ASC)
