Island Vibes One Love in coordination with Colt 45, DTC, Mojitos Tequila presents Bob Marley Day this Saturday February 7, 2015 at 4:20pm at the Sky Rise 4 Roofdeck I.T. Park Cebu.

Bob Marley Day is a celebration of Reggae’s musical icon, Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley. He was born February 6, 1945.

Bob Marley was a Jamaican reggae singer-songwriter, musician, and guitarist who achieved international fame and acclaim. Starting out in 1963 with the group the Wailers, he forged a distinctive songwriting and vocal style that would later resonate with audiences worldwide.

His reggae band, The Wailers would go on to release some of the earliest reggae records with producer Lee Scratch Perry. After the Wailers disbanded in 1974, Marley pursued a solo career which culminated in the release of the album Exodus in 1977 which established his worldwide reputation and produced his status as one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, with sales of more than 75 million records.He was a committed Rastafari who infused his music with a sense of spirituality.

The event will feature an all- star cast of Cebu’s bands like Junior Kilat, Bambu Spliff, Skankin Brews, Andrei and the Royale Kartel, Powerspoonz, Smooth Friction, Santing Skalawags, Crown Royale, Sella Dub Warriors, Kaliftra, S.T.I.F.. New Zion and The Monkeys.

The event will also feature Dj Lapu- Lapu and Coolie Dread, Art exhibits, Island Tattoo exhibition, Live Grafitti and screening for the Ms. Island Vibes.

Entrance is at P350.00 with free beer.
