Boat Trips Cancelled Due to TD ‘Wilma’

The Philippine Coast Guard has cancelled at least 25 boat trips on Monday due to Tropical Depression “Wilma.”

The cancelled trips, as of 2 pm Monday, were those plying for Cebu, Bohol, Southern Leyte and Negros parts, which are under signal number 1, according to the last weather update posted by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa update said “Wilma” was located 75 km north-northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, with maximum winds of 55 km/h near the center.

“At 12:00 n.n. 04 November 2013, the center of Tropical Depression “Wilma” was estimated based on all available data at 34 km West of Tandag, Surigao Del Sur(9.0°N, 125.9°E ), it said.

Signal number 1 has been raised in the following areas:

Southern parts of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental ,Southern parts Cebu
Siquijor, Bohol, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Island, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin, Northern parts of Zamboanga del Norte.
