Boat Owners in Moalboal Recieve Negosyo Kits

The Department of Trade and Industries (DTI) turned over negosyo kits to 41 boat owners from different barangays in the town of Moalboal, Cebu.

The activity is part of the “Pangkabuhayan sa pagBangon at Ginhawa” (PBG) program.

The said boat owners, who are members of the Boat Owners of Moalboal Island Hopping Association (BOHIMA) Inc., recieved the P10,000 worth of negosyo kits each.

Marechel Mercado, President of BOHIMA recived the UV lamp from DTI official Asteria Caberte as a symbol of acceptance of the said kits by qualified members of the association.

DTI’s quick response to their plea for assistance made BOHIMA expressed their gratitude.

Meanwhile, Mercado said that DTI’s move has made a huge contribution to the town’s livelihood since tourism is their main industry.

PGB program is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program which aims to support people affected by incidents and other calamities. (MLC)
