BlackBerry Unveiled Two New Phones
BlackBerry CEO John Chen proudly showed off two new BlackBerry devices last week, the Passport and the Classic.
The BlackBerry Passport has a 4.5-inch square display with 1440×1440 resolution. It sports a QWERTY hardware keyboard underneath the huge square display, which is rumored to be touch-sensitive for gesture interaction.
“A new touch-enabled keyboard that offers an even more productive and precise BlackBerry 10 experience, which opens up new possibilities for your app and your app’s users,” BlackBerry noted.
Meanwhile, the Blackberry Classic is a successor to the current Q-line. It sports a 3.5-inch display and a familiar trackpad.
Additional specs of the new devices are unclear, though its said to have a much more advanced chipset than the old Snapdragon S4 Pro in the Blackberry Z30.
The Passport will be available in September and the Classic is pegged for a November release.
