BIR: No Extension of ITR Filing

The Bureau of Internal Revenue 7 reminded the public of the April 15 deadline of the filing of the income tax returns (ITR), and insisted that there will be no extension to it.

The reminder came after BIR Commissioner Kim Henares had earlier urged all businessmen and private individuals to file their ITRs before the deadline to avoid the long queues. Henares said there is no extension to that deadline.

In a press statement, BIR7 said those who fail to file their ITR on the said date will be slapped with a 25-percent surcharge and a 40-percent per annum.
