Binay’s Survey Figures in Rural Areas Remain Unchanged- Remulla
Cavite Governor and VP spokesperson, Jonvic Remulla on Tuesday said the Senate sub-committee probe was intended to influence the Pulse Asia surveys, adding that the survey was taken at the height of the “one-sided” Senate hearings which did not cover the live speech of the Vice President.
“We feel that it would have been a different picture had the survey captured this event since the people would have heard the Vice President’s point by point reply.” Remulla said in a statement.
In the statement, Remulla said they noted that the decline of Binay’s survey ratings is mainly in the urban areas because of media access.
“Our figures are basically unchanged in rural areas.” He said.
Remulla added that other than the top 5 officials, it would be interesting if Pulse Asia had also trust rated the other political personalities included in the list of possible contenders.
“This would give a clearer perspective of the public’s sentiment at the time the survey was taken.” Remulla said in the statement.
“Nonetheless, we accept the results. The Vice President is grateful that he remains most trusted government official despite the baseless attacks. He will continue clarifying the issues directly to the people and performing his duties.” the statement said.
