Binay-Trillanes Debate Set on Nov. 27
The much awaited debate is set.
On Monday, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) revealed four issues to be addressed during the debate between Vice President Jejomar Binay and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
According to KBP, the debate will cover the following topics:
– Is the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee hearing on Binay justifiable?
– Are PDAF and DAP legal?
– Does Binay own the Batangas farm?
– Is the Makati City Hall Building II overpriced?
The debate will be held on November 27 at 10 a.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center.The event will be held by invitation with around 200 to 300 guests.
KBP president Herman Basbaño said he is looking into inviting heads of civic organization, aside from members of the KBP.
Basbaño has also outlined the format of the debate. He said he will see that each party open with a seven-minute statement.
He added that arguments for the affirmative side will have seven minutes while the response from the negative side is four minutes. Rebuttals will be up to two minutes. Basbaño said that the two camps will sign an agreement for the debate this week.
