BFAR-7 Marks 53 Years in Fish Conservation
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR-7) together with the various stakeholders from the public and private sectors celebrated the 53rd Fish Conservation Week on October 16 to 21, 2016.
“Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan Tungo sa Mas Masiglang Pangisdaan” is the theme of this year’s Fish Conservation celebration.
A fun run jumpstarted the event on October 16 followed by the opening program and the “Tabo sa BFAR” on October 17 at BFAR regional office in Cebu City.
The awarding of achievers in the fishery sector culminated the 53rd Fish Conservation week on October 21.
In line with the celebration, ECOFISH Cebu co-sponsored a Communication and Media Relations Training on October 17 to 19 at Golden Prince Hotel.
The training was attended by 39 participants composed of fishery law enforcers, local governments units, Philippine National Police, and Maritime Group with their Information Officer.
