Beyond the Product: Why Good Relationships Are Important for Your Business
As an entrepreneur, you must know what influences your customers’ buying habits. Most customers would like to buy from a store that they know or popular brands such as Nike, Adidas, Jolibee, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, and more.
Making your business more appealing comes down to your customer’s impression of your business. Creating a good first impression goes a long way, this establishes trust in your brand, which in return, drives more customers to you.
A business extends beyond the product you are offering, creating a good relationship with your customers is an essential aspect of a successful business.
How to create a good relationship with your customers?
There are three major aspects of relationship building that every entrepreneur should know.
1) Create A Product that Performs
Create a product that is effective and priced accordingly. The product does not have to be perfect, an effective product does its job. For example, selling an iced coffee for P39, even priced low should not taste bad, as there are ways to save on costs but still end up with a product that is still good, this is where your creativity comes in.
2) Run Your Business with Integrity
Business is about sales but don’t let yourself get caught up with that “hustle mentality”, too much of that will lead to seeing people as only numbers and not making personal connections with your customers. Creating relationships with customers is also an important aspect of the business.
A business with integrity understands that a business involves an exchange of value. Instead of focusing only on profit, prioritize the needs of your customers. When you empathize with your customers you create a relationship beyond sales and profit, trust is built, and loyalty is the result.
3) Maintain Good Relationships with Customers
Keeping your good relationship with your customers is also important, that is why you need to be consistent. Continue to communicate with your customers. Keep them informed about updates, new products, or promotions, and respond promptly to their inquiries. Also, reach out to them regularly even though they haven’t made recent purchases.
Make sure that the quality of your products remains consistent or make it even better. Also, engage with your customers by asking them for their feedback about your product to help you create better versions that will fit your customer’s needs.
Reward loyalty. Create a customer loyalty program that rewards repeat customers, such as discounts, exclusive offers, or perks, to show appreciation for their support.
Your business goes beyond your product. Creating good and lasting relationships with your customers yields loyalty. Your impression from your customers will go a long way to help your business grow and flourish. (ASC)
