Betty Now a Low Pressure Area – PAGASA
State weather agency said Tropical Depression Betty (international name Bavi) weakened further into a low-pressure area early Thursday.
However, PAGASA, in its 5 a.m. advisory, said fisherfolk and small seacraft must remain wary of up to rough to sea conditions in the eastern seaboard of Luzon.
In a report as of 4 a.m. Thursday, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated at 885 km east of Casiguran, Aurora.
It warned that fisherfolks and small seacrafts are alerted against moderate to rough sea conditions over the eastern seaboard of Luzon adding that the whole country may expect “partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA added moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to rough.
In some parts of the country, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northeast with slight to moderate seas
