Best Workouts Without Equipments
The people who believe in the truth behind the saying, ‘a workout without equipment is no workout at all’ are about to be proved wrong. Working out does not necessarily need any equipment. Here are some simple exercises that illustrate the same.
*Push-ups* – People who think that push-ups are best done by Rocky Balboa need to stop doubting their own physical capabilities. Push-ups help in creating resistance in your arms, biceps and triceps, while strengthening the shoulder, chest and the spinal column. And yes! Anyone can do it. Push-ups needn’t be done with one hand. They can be done with the knees bent, or against a wall, standing up.
*Walking *- It is the simplest form of working out, and often the most underrated. Walking briskly for half an hour burns as much calories as an hour-long slog on the treadmill. So forget your car and the elevator for a week. Walk to get your groceries, or pick up your children from school. Climbing the stairs is also a healthy way to keep your heart pumping. Walking regularly will keep your body active throughout the day.
*Jumps *- Do you remember playing jumping jack as a kid? While it was fun then, jumping as a form of workout can still be relevant now. Not only does it help in strengthening your leg and spine, but is a surprisingly good method to keep your heart strong. Jumping is a good cardio and warm up exercise as well.
*Jogging in Place* – If you prefer to jog, but have no place to do so, jogging in place can be a very good option. You can reap the benefits of jogging without leaving the comfort of your living room. All you need is a good pair of running shoes and you can jog your way to good health.
*Leg Lifts* – Leg lifts are good for building core strengths in the leg, knees and hips. Try and lift your legs as high as you can. If lifting with knee straight makes you feel uncomfortable, you can bend your knees slightly.
*Crunches *- These are the perfect exercises to build muscular strength in the abdomen. Try and raise your shoulders and head to touch the elevated knee, till you feel a tension in your spine and abdomen. Initially, it can be difficult to get it right, but with practice, you will be able to do it perfectly.
*Dancing *- Dancing is by far the best calorie-burning cardio exercise that you can do at home. Not only is the workout ideal for losing weight and keeping fit, but it is also a good way to lighten stress and boost the mood.
*Squats *- Squats are good exercises to keep your legs and buttocks in shape. Varied repetitions of standing up and sitting on your knees, will help remove fat and build muscle, all without lifting any weights.
A good workout does not need to have a full-fledged gym setup to be able to benefit your health. By following these simple alternatives you can exercise from home, without wasting money on expensive equipment.
