Beer & Roast Festival 2015
Café Racer in coordination with Mooon Café present Beer & Roast Festival 2015 this October 24, 2015. Featuring performances from Razorback, Franco, Junior Kilat, Wilabaliw & Powerspoonz.
Razorback is a Filipino hard rock band formed in 1990. Originally known for being regulars at the now-defunct Kalye, a club in Makati, the band has performed at full-scale concerts and opened for Silverchair, Rage Against the Machine and Metallica. They are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.
Franco is a rock band from the Philippines that was formed in 2008. The band started out as a supergroup with local rock icon members from different well-established Filipino bands. The original lineup, which consisted of Franco Reyes (InYo) on vocals, Gabby Alipe (Urbandub) on guitar, Paolo Toleran (Queso) on guitar, Buwi Meneses (Parokya ni Edgar) on bass guitar, and JanJan Mendoza (Urbandub) on drums,disbanded in mid-2012. The band now has a new lineup which is made up of front man Franco Reyes and session musicians Paul Cañada on guitars, Dave Delfin on bass and Victor Guison on drums.
Junior Kilat is a Filipino reggae, ska and dub band based in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. The name is taken from the 70’s Cebu band Leon Kilat, which the latter group claims, was first to sing about “Agta”. They are a popular reggae band in Manila, winning a “Song Of The Year Award” in NU-107’s Rock Awards for Ako Si M16, their first single from the album party pipol ur on dub tv.
Beer & Roast Festival 2015 will have its gates open at 5:00pm. Entrance fee is at P200.00 with 1 free beer.
Café Racer is located at North Reclamation Area Mandaue City.
