Beat the Holiday Rush: 3 Tips in Shopping

Published

on

What comes to mind when we’ve arrived in the “ber” months starting with September? Holiday season, right?    With this, shopping time is just around the corner! What a better way to prepare then than to know three ways to beat the holiday rush in stores which is common every yuletide season.

1. Early shopping list

One way to avid the Christmas rush is by making your ‘gift list’ or shopping list earlier. In this way, you can not plan out ahead properly and can choose the best gifts for your loved ones, friends, relatives and even for yourself. You can be satisfied with what you’ll have because you have allotted a right budget for it and found the best stores or suppliers on where to shop.

2. Watch out for sales

Sales are up for grabs during the holidays. In 2012, one-fourth of gifters purchased from a retailer they had never even shopped with before because of the marked-down prices offered to therm. This brings you a lot of savings in your budget and therefore can give out to as many as possible. And with that, everyone will be happy!

3. Be open for online shopping

In the advent of technology, your favorite stores now or retailers have gone digital to reach you for your most convenient shopping. With the splurging brands of smartphones, tablets and other devices, you can easily click  on those those faves of yours and drop it into your cart! What’s good about online shopping is you can do this anywhere at anytime. You can shop on your phones while also shopping in stores or shop while waiting in the line or while spending over a cup of coffee with your friends! There are a lot of online stores available, especially with the 2013 holiday season coming up, for you to choose from. And also, don’t forget to look out for stores that offer free shipping as this will stash you away big savings from your shopping budget.

The biggest season for shopping starts now. Up to 40% of this year’s sales will likely happen during the holiday shopping season. In some ways, that season is getting longer, as retailers kick off marketing campaigns earlier. In other ways it’s getting shorter, as the span between Christmas and New Year is cut by almost a week.

But any way you look at the calendar, the month of September which passed already, is a big month for holiday shopping preparation. If it seems a little too early for holiday stockings and warmed chestnuts, that probably means you’re right on schedule.
