Philippine-based banking company Banco de Oro (BDO) held their Christmas celebration in Cebu, recognizing hard-working Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The said celebration is called the “BDO Pamaskong Handog 2019” and was at the mountain wing atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu on Saturday, December 7.

Now in its 8th year, Pamaskong Handog is organized by BDO and SM Supermalls. It aims to give fun-filled musical variety shows and other activities with lots of prizes and raffle draw.

“With many overseas Filipino coming home during the holiday, we take the season as an opportunity to honor and pay tribute to their hard work and sacrifice to care for their families even if it means being away from them and taking on unique jobs in their countries,” said Genie Gloria, Senior Vice President and head of remittance of BDO.

BDO also gave gratitude to their partners for supporting them in giving OFWs recognition through the years.

“We are also grateful for our other partners Kultura, Miniso, Jollibee and Goldilocks, as well as WorldRemit, MoneyGram, Western Union and Small World for being one with us in supporting our OFWs and their families through Pamaskong Handog,” Gloria added.

Pamaskong Handog 2019 will also be held at the SM City Davao on December 14 and SM City Telabastagan in San Fernando, Pampanga on December 21.

BDO Kabayan Savings account holders and non-account holders were welcome to witness and enjoy the said event.

Celebrities such as Piolo Pascual, Ronnie Alonte, Loisa Andalio, Aegis and Kim Chiu gave their fans extreme joy by personally performing in front of them. (MLC)
