Bayfront Hotel Sets Sail in Cebu

Through its shade-sail design on its structure, the eye-catching newly built “Bayfront Hotel” looks like a huge sailing ship which is lying on Kaoshiung St. in the North Reclamation Area, Cebu City.

This design is to complement the existing shipping company of the Cokaliong family, who has recently started venturing into hospitality business.

According to the president of Christerton Properties Inc., Gregoria Cokaliong, the “Bayfront Hotel” will redefine travel convenience as it provides prime necessities of both leisure and business.

The 163-room hotel has standard and superior rooms. Both include a 32-inch LED TV. Suite rooms which include a 42-inch LED TV with cable, kitchen and dining area, toilet with shower and tub, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and weighing scale; and barkadahan rooms that can accommodate family or group stay.

The hotel also features an all-day dining restaurant at their Café Breeze, which serves Filipino and International dishes; Sweat gym, where guests can maintain their fitness activities; 7-Eleven Convenience Store; 24/7 internet access; ballrooms or function rooms and meeting rooms, which can fit as many as 495 people; parking area; and offers room service, laundry and dry cleaning, and transportation services.

The room rates start from P3, 300 to P6, 000. All rooms come with hot and cold shower, executive writing desk and chair, mini-bar, refrigerator, coffee and tea facilities, in-room safe, and phone service.

The mid-rise hotel is a mere walking distance to SM City Cebu, and proximity to seaport, airport, shopping malls and business centers.

The hotel’s managing director, Charlton Cokaliong, discloses that they are eyeing more hotel projects in the future.
