Barker Hacked Dead in Tabunok Talisay
A 55-year old taxi dispatcher was hacked after a heated argument with a 24-year old suspect at around 3 am in Brgy. Tabunok, Talisay City.
The victim was identified as Rolando Ruiz Geraldez, married, a resident of Brgy. Maghaway of the said city. The suspect was later identified to be Robert Benarao, single, a resident of Brgy. San Isidro of the same city.
According to the initial investigation of Talisay City Police, Geradez was dispatching taxis under the Tabunok Fly-Over at around 3:05 AM when the suspect suddenly hacked the victim at left side of his neck.
After Geraldez was hit, he tried to escape but Benarao caught him and hacked the victim again, ultimately causing his death.
According to witnesses, Geraldez and Benarao had an argument before the incident happened.
The victim was brought to the Talisay City District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (ASC)
