Barangay, SK Registration Set on July

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set July 22-31 as the registration dates for the incoming voters of the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr., in his interview with the Philippine Information Agency 7, said qualified voters can go to the nearest Comelec office between Monday and Saturday at 8 am to 5 pm starting from July 22 to 31. The barangay and SK elections are set on October 28 this year.

Meanwhile, Brillantes said the election period will start on September 28, and the filing of the certificates of candidacy (COC) is from October 15-17. The campaign period kicks off on October 18 and ends on October 26.
