Barangay’s Bulacao, Duljo Fatima to Avail Free Services
At least another 2 barangays will benefit from the free services of the Cebu City Government through the ‘City Hall at Your Doorstep’ program of Mayor Michael Lopez Rama this week.
On December 17 Thursday, the activity will be held in Barangay Bulacao and on December 18 Friday it will be conducted in Barangay Duljo Fatima.
The activity which will be conducted in the St. Jude Gymnasium in Barangay Bulacao and Barangay Hall of Duljo Fatima will start with a Holy Mass at 8 o’clock in the morning. It will end until everyone will be served.
Among the free services to be offered are medical and dental consultation with free medicines, random blood sugar testing, blood typing, seedling distribution, anti-rabies vaccination, feeding for children, and consultation on the birth, marriage and death certificates.
Other services that will be offered are repair and installation of street lights and artesian wells, consultation on traffic issues and concerns, consultations on the ‘Let there be light program’ and urban poor related issues, free hair cutting, pruning and trimming of trees, consultation on drug related issues, legal services, and Cedula issuance, among several others.
Mayor Rama aims to bring the services of the 22 departments comprising the city government closer to the people and avail it for free without going to the Cebu City Hall.
The city’s community outreach program has become institutionalized and regularly conducted every Friday but this month it will be held twice in a week. Last week, it was successfully conducted in Barangay’s Luz and Capitol Site last December 10 and 11, respectively.
Moreover, the said two villages are the last schedule of frontline services this year. In the last quarter this year the frontline services is spearheaded by the Cebu City Medical Center. (Cebu City Public Information Office PIO/Greggy Jiggs P. Senados)
