BACK TO SCHOOL

During the formal opening of classes yesterday, these students from Barrio Luz Elementary School in Cebu City gathered around playfully as they wait for instructions after their flag raising ceremony. As classes in public elementary and secondary schools started on Monday, the Department of Education (DepEd) said they are expecting more than 1.7 million learners in Central Visayas to attend this school year despite the lack of classrooms.
