ASUS Launches PadFone Infinity Lite
ASUS has unveiled another lineup of tablet and smartphone hybrids – the PadFone Infinity Lite, the lighter version of its predecessor, the PadFone Infinity 2 that was announced in the second half last year.
The ASUS PadFone Infinity Lite sports a 5-inch Full HD Super IPS display with 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 MP front-facing, and a 32 GB onboard storage.
Under the hood, the PadFone touts a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quadcore processor clocked at 1.7Ghz, a 2GB of RAM, and 2, 400 mAh battery. The PadFone runs Android 4.1 Jellybean, which is expected to be updated to 4.4 Kitkat.
The device works in tandem with a 10.1-inch Full HD tablet dock that can provide an extra 5,000 mAh worth of battery life.
The ASUS PadFone Infinity will be released in Taiwan next month and will cost 13,990 TWD(Php21,000) for the handset and an extra 7,000 TWD(Php10,000) for the tablet dock.
As of this writing, there’s no word when the PadFone Infinity Lite will be released globally.
