Army Supports ABS-CBN’s New Military Drama
The Philippine Army expressed its support to ABS-CBN’s ‘A Soldier’s Heart’ during the series’ special screening on Thursday, January 16 in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Commander of the Installation Management Command Maj. Gen. Tyne Bañas and other Army senior officers who represented the command’s leadership was welcomed by the show’s artists including Gerald Anderson, Sue Ramirez, Carlo Aquino, Elmo Magalona, Vin Abrenica, Jerome Ponce, Nash Aguas, Yves Flores, and other cast members.
“In this TV series, you will witness the rigid training of a soldier. And of course, not just the sacrifices of our hero soldiers but also the sacrifices of their families” said Anderson.
“The show will grant us the opportunity to showcase the various missions of the Philippine Army that contribute to peace, security, and defense of our nation” said Army Deputy Spokesperson Maj. Gene Orense.
The drama aims to tell stories of individuals from different backgrounds and their journey as soldiers who willingly sacrifice their lives for the love of country. According to the management, the first episode will air on January 20.
“The Army appreciates the show’s efforts of showcasing the lives of our unsung heroes as well as the value of brotherhood developed in the military life. We hope that the show will uplift the morale of our troops who offer their lives in the pursuit of protecting the nation and the Filipino people,” added Orense. (Philippine Army PR)
