Argao, Carcar Awarded as the Most Improved Municipalities in the 2019 Grand Nutrition Awards

National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region 7 awarded Argao and Carcar town in this year’s Grand Nutrition awards for their programs tackling malnutrition on August 9, 2019 at the Bai Hotel in Mandaue City.

The most improved LGU award is an award given to the Local Government Unit (LGU) who have shown a considerable improvement in nutrition program management and implementation leading to positive results in their nutrition status.

Dr. Reno Rhine Mamac, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer of Argao and Rogelio Montesclaros City Administrator of Carcar were present to receive their award.

Carmen, Bohol was awarded the Consistent Regional Outstanding Nutrition Award for bagging the Outstanding Municipality Award, for three years in the Region Green Banner. The LGU of Carmen is invited in the NNC’s national awarding to receive their P500,000 reward on August 30, 2019.
