ARCHCon X 2014

ARCHCon was one of the 1st hobby conventions that was held here in Cebu, it started way back July 24, 2004 at the Ayala Activity Center. The event aims to be an open venue where people will be able to gather and have fun with their hobbies.

ARCHCon X 2014 will be happening this year at the Activity Center, Ayala Center Cebu on the October 25, 2014 this coming Saturday.

The event will have a series of grand events such as Cosplay, Fighting Game Tournament, Pokemon X-Y Tournament, Digital Drawing Competition, ARCHConGunpla Builders Cup and a Card Game Tournament.

The General rule for the Cosplay event will be as follows:

1. Anyone from any organization can join.

2. We will accept characters from any written or visual media.

2.a. Original Character’s (OC’s) will not be eligible for the competition.

3. Metal props and metal costume components ARE NOT ALLOWED for this competition.

3.a. With that in mind please nothing bladed, or anything that will pose immediate harm to any of the participants of the convention or yourself.

3.b. We advise those who carry weapon props to please not play around with them as much as possible, competitors once you have finished your skit and have gone off stage please do not play around with your props as much as possible.

3.c. Any pyrotechnics or chemicals ARE NOT ALLOWED to be used on and off stage.

4. Pairs must present a skit and will be interviewed on stage while Individuals may perform a skit or just be interviewed.

5. We put great emphasis on character but we know it’s tiring to be acting like your character all day.

5.a. Therefore you need only to be in character from (Tentative time) till after you have gone on stage.

5.b. Please be in the convention proper area during that time. PUNCTUALITY IS STRICTLY OBSERVED. Late comers will automatically BE SUNK (Or Disqualified).

6. Please send your music files to archoncebu@gmail.com with this format:

Contestant Name_Character Your Cosplaying_Anime/Game/Manga

(Example: Bryan Albisat_Slaine_Aldnoah.Zero)

6.a We will only accept these file types for your music (.mp3, .mp4, .wma)

6.b Please also include a HIGH QUALITY picture of the character you are cosplaying.

6.c If there are walk-in contestants, we will accept the forms but we WILL NOT accept last-minute submissions on background music entry and photos.

6.d. Music file must NOT exceed 15MB.

7. There will be a repair booth for those who need to make emergency repairs during the convention.

8. We all know that cosplaying your favorite characters is exciting but please let’s keep it wholesome because ARCHCon is a child friendly event and Ayala Center Cebu is a family mall.

9. Crossplaying is allowed but STAY AWAY from mature/hentai characters when crossplaying and that we are judging the character and not the person. Violators would be prosecuted.

10. Fan Service as “the random and gratuitous display of a series of anticipated gestures common in Manga and Anime. These gestures include such things as panty shots, leg spreads and glimpses of breast”. ANYONE CAUGHT DOING THIS IS GONNA BE REKT(Reprimanded) BY THE SECURITY TEAM OF ARCHCON AND AYALA.

Penalties:

1st offense: Verbal warning

2nd offense: BAN from the cosplay competition (If you joined)

3rd offense: AYALA WILL REKT YOU
