Archbishop Appeals Help for Palo, Leyte

Archbishop John Du of Palo, Leyte earlier on Friday appealed for help for the people in Palo, Leyte.

Du, who was in Palo when super typhoon Yolanda hit the country, said despite millions of aid the Philippines is getting from other countries, help has still not reached in their part of the province. Du appealed that Palo should also be included in the list.

Du just arrived in Cebu on Firday after spending days in Palo, where Yolanda caught him and his parishioners inside the Palo Church. He recalled how they gathered while the storm battered their church and soaked it with rainwater.

The archbishop, in a press conference Friday, recalled how helpless his people there, hence, he came to Cebu to ask for help. Meanwhile, Du , whose family is from Bantayan Island, told the media that even his own family here in Cebu was also not spared from the typhoon, although all of them were okay.
